What's that? A Card Front Swap is a group of friends who sign up to make fronts for cards and swap them. In this case, I'm in 7 groups with 4 people in each group. So, for each group, I make 4 card fronts that are the same, package them, mail them to the swap hostess, she collects everyone's card fronts and swaps them. I get an envelope back in the mail with 4 different fronts, one being my own. This is a great way to create 1 card design and get back 4 individual ones. Here's what I've been working on. ReplyDeleteLove the cards! so glad I get these!!!
ReplyDeleteTell me how you used MTC for the masculine one. I am thinking about getting this but really don`t understand it...do you think I can learn?
ReplyDeleteDebbie I used MTC! to cut the striped paper on the Generic Male card. I knew what I wanted but couldn't find an existing file. I used the regular square and the rounded square from the existing shapes file in MTC! I made the rounded squares really small and duplicated them to make 25 or so. Then I used the regular square and made it a little rectangle and duplicated it. I lined them up and made joined them using Boolean join to create a notebook page. Then I used a journaling block shape I had and Boolean join again to create this specific shape. Sounds more complicated that it really is. Maybe I need to create a video to show others. Hmmm, guess I'd better get the video camera back from my niece, huh?
